Runes are semi-fungible assets on the Bitcoin network that you can manage within your Magic Eden Wallet. This guide explains how to receive Runes and ensure they are sent to the correct address.

Steps to receive Runes

Access the cryptocurrency tab

Runes appear in the Cryptocurrency section of Magic Eden Wallet, not the Collectibles section.

Locate your Ordinals and Runes address

To receive Runes, you must use your Ordinals and Runes address, which is a Taproot address starting with 'bc1p'.

Copy your receive address

Click on your receive address in the wallet and select the Ordinals and Runes address. Copy this address to use when transferring Runes to your Magic Eden Wallet.

Send Runes to your address

Use the copied address to transfer Runes. Ensure you are sending to the correct Taproot address to avoid any issues.

Important reminder

Always double-check that you are using the correct Ordinals and Runes address when transferring Runes to ensure that your assets are received properly.

Receiving Runes in Magic Eden Wallet is simple once you have the correct address. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking on the chat widget.
