Magic Eden offers users the opportunity to earn rewards through $ME staking and completing rewards-eligible activities. If you're holding $ME and want to maximize your participation in the ecosystem, here's how to get started:

What are Magic Eden Rewards?

Magic Eden Rewards allows users to earn rewards by being part of of the Magic Eden ecosystem and being an active participant. Rewards are earned primarily by completing two things:

Staking tokens: Lock up your $ME tokens to earn staking power and a rewards multiplier AND
Completing reward-eligible activities: Participate in platform activities to earn rewards. Rewards are calculated through a formula that combines your activity volume and staking power throughout the course of a season.

How to stake $ME tokens

Connect your Wallet: Ensure your wallet is connected to the Magic Eden platform and that you hold $ME tokens. You can use Magic Eden's wallet or any other wallet provider.
Navigate to the Rewards Dashboard: Click the Rewards button on the Magic Eden home page (magiceden.io/rewards).
Choose amount to stake: Enter the amount of $ME tokens you wish to stake. Options like Half or Max are available for convenience.
Set a lockup period: Adjust the lockup duration using the slider. Longer lockup periods provide higher multipliers, increasing your staking power.
Confirm your stake: Review the details, including the stake end date, total staked, and your staking multiplier. Click Stake to confirm.

Once staked, your $ME tokens will be locked for the selected period, and your staking power will update accordingly.

Example: Staking $ME tokens

You stake 1 $ME Token for a 7-day lockup period.
Your staking power increases by 1.07, reflecting a 108% multiplier.
You'll receive a confirmation: "You staked additional 1 $ME and extended your lockup period."

How to withdrawing staked $ME tokens

Navigate to the Withdraw Tab: Click on the Withdraw button within the Rewards interface.
Review Details: Ensure your unlock period has ended.
Confirm Withdrawal: Click Withdraw to remove your staked tokens.

You cannot withdraw your staked $ME tokens until the stake end date.

Completing rewards-eligible activities

Staking $ME alone does not earn you rewards. You must completing rewards-eligible activities while also staking $ME tokens.

New rewards-eligible activities released every season, so stay active to maximize your earnings.
The seasons rewards-eligible activities are listed on the Rewards Dashboard (magiceden.io/rewards).

Explore the Rewards Dashboard

Click the Rewards button on the Magic Eden on home page to open up the Rewards Dashboard (magiceden.io/rewards).

Here is the home of all things Rewards related: including your season's stats, your activity history, a Rewards leaderboard, the season's rewards-eligible activities, and more.

View your ranking

Rankings across individual rewards-eligible activities
- View your current ranking percentile (e.g., Top 1%, Top 5%, Top 10%, Top 20%, Top 30$, Top 40%, Top 50%, Top 75%, Top 100%) within each activity.
- Rankings are based on your reward-eligible trading activity and staking power.
Overall Leaderboard Rank Progress
- Your overall Leaderboard Rank uses a formula of your staking power and your individual rewards-eligible activities
  - Please note that you do NOT need to do all the activities to get to the top of the overall leaderboard. To reiterate, your global Leaderboard Rank is simply a function of your rewards activity volume and your staking power.
  - If you are someone who only trades NFTs or only does other reward activity but you do more of 1 activity than everyone else does across multiple activities, you will rank higher.
- You will be placed in a ranking percentile for your overall rank as well (e.g., Top 1%, Top 5%, Top 10%, etc)
- You can also see your specific rank within that percentile (e.g. Number 3 out of 2050 within Top 10%)
- The Leaderboard tab will also show you your Global Ranking (e.g. Number 1011 out of all Rewards participants)
- Real-Time Updates: Rankings are updated hourly.
- Egregious acts of inorganic trading activity may be punished.

Rewards Button tracks rankings

The Rewards Button at the top of the Magic Eden home page will show you your season's ranking percentile and badge.

Why rankings matter

Your activity ranking determines the amount of rewards you receive at the end of each season. The higher your rank, the greater your rewards.

Example: Players in the Top 1% earn the largest share of rewards, while those in the Top 10% receive a lesser amount of rewards. Rewards are distributed based an individual's placement, not their tranche. For example, users who share the top 10% percentile may receive varying amounts of rewards.

Improving your rank

Stake more $ME: Increase your staking amount to increase staking power.
Stake $ME for longer: Lengthen your staking period to increase staking power.
Complete more activities: Engage with all available reward-eligible activities to maximize your score. Remember, you do not need to do all the activities -- you can improve your leaderboard rank while just focusing on 1 or a few activities.
