This article will show you how to join the Magic Eden Rewards program and participate in the onchain governance of the $ME ecosystem. By staking $ME, you gain both Staking Power to boost your rewards and Voting Power to vote on governance proposals.

Season 4 runs for 1 month, from Jan 1st - Jan 31st, with 3 million $ME in rewards.

Staking your $ME tokens

Get $ME tokens

If you do not have any $ME tokens, you can swap and purchase $ME directly from the Rewards Dashboard.

Stake $ME

You must be staking with at least one wallet to join the Magic Eden Rewards program and track rewards activity, earn rewards, and participate in $ME governance.
Select an amount and lockup period (in days).
Longer lockups give a multiplier boost. Example: Believer tier: 1.12× multiplier.
Dashboard displays: Unlock date, Total staked, and current Staking Power.

Climb the leaderboard by completing rewards-eligible activities

After staking, your rewards-eligible activities will now be tracked and earn you rewards. You can track your progress and Leaderboard Rank on the Rewards Dashboard. Your rank is determined by a formula that combines:

Trading Volume from rewards-eligible activities:
- Trade NFTs
- Trade Runes
- Lucky Buys
- Rip Packs
Staking Power (amount staked × lockup multiplier).

How governance works

All $ME stakers are given Voting Power to participate and vote on the onchain governance of the $ME ecosystem.

Be part of the ecosystem: Governance ensures the community directs $ME’s growth.

View live proposals in the Governance section of the Rewards dashboard.
- NOTE: Voting does not boost your leaderboard rank.
View your Voting Power, which you can use to vote on proposals.
Voting Power is equal to your Staking Power.

Motivation & Plan
Success Metrics
Budget & Resources
Team roles

Voting flow

Open the Vote tab on a proposal.
See details: Status (Open/Closed), Threshold to pass (e.g. 60%), Start/End times, Total wallets, Total voting power.
Select For or Against and click Vote Now.

Confirmation

Modal reminder: Votes are final per wallet. You cannot add more voting power later to the same wallet.
Confirm by signing the vote.

Onchain transaction

Wallet popup will request approval. Small Solana network fee applies.

Post-vote results

After casting, you’ll see: Your choice, % voting power used, and a transaction link on-chain.

How to submit proposals

In addition to voting on proposals inside the Rewards dashboard, community members can draft, share, and debate new proposals on Magic Eden’s governance forum.

Create a Discourse account

Sign up at magiceden.discourse.group.
Watch for an approval email after registration (required before posting).

Post your proposal

Click “New Topic”.
Choose the relevant category (e.g. Trial Proposals, Community Incentives & Campaigns, Grant Programs & Ecosystem Development).
Add a title and complete the body of your proposal using Markdown for formatting.
