You can now buy and gift Packs on Magic Eden, making it easy to send NFT packs or collectible packs to friends, community members, or anyone with a supported wallet address!

Gifted packs are delivered directly to the recipient and can be opened just like packs they purchased themselves.

What is Gifting?

Gifting lets you purchase Packs and send them to another wallet address! This feature supports:

SOL NFT Packs
Pokémon Packs

Once gifted, the recipient will see the pack in their Gifts inbox and Packs page, where they can open it immediately or later.

How to Send a Gift

Step 1: Choose a Pack

Navigate to Packs on Magic Eden.
Select the pack you want to gift.
Click Send as Gift.

Step 2: Configure Your Gift

On the gifting screen, you can:

Adjust quantity (for packs that support multiple quantities)
Enter the recipient’s wallet address
Add an optional message (character limits apply)

⚠️ Make sure the wallet address is correct. Gifts sent to an incorrect address cannot be recovered.

Step 3: Confirm & Pay

Review the gift details.
Click Buy Gift.
Approve the transaction in your wallet.

Once the transaction is confirmed, the gift is sent.

Step 4: Gift Confirmation

After a successful transaction, you’ll see a Gift Sent confirmation screen. The gifted pack will also appear in your Gift History.

Receiving a Gift

When someone sends you a pack, you'll be notified by the following ways:

Marketplace Message

You’ll receive a pop up message when you log into magiceden.io notifying you that you received a gift
Click on the “Go to Gifts” button to open your gift

In-App Notification

You’ll receive an inbox notification on Magic Eden.
Clicking the notification opens a gift modal showing the pack details and any message from the sender.

Email Notification

If email notifications are enabled, you’ll also receive an email letting you know you received a gift.

Opening Gifted Packs

Single Pack

Click Go to Gifts from the notification or modal.
Open the pack from your Received tab.
Enjoy the pack opening experience.

Multiple Packs

If you received multiple packs:

All packs will appear in your Received tab.
You can open them one by one or all at once.

Gifts Page & History

You can manage all gifting activity from the Gifts section under Packs.

Received

View all packs you’ve received as gifts.
Open any unopened gifted packs.

History

View gifts you’ve sent or received.
Track gift status, including:
- Gifted (successful)
- Partially Gifted (some packs delivered)
- Gift Failed

In rare cases, a gift may partially succeed if only some packs are delivered. Details will be shown in your Gift History.

Important Things to Know

Gifts are sent directly to a wallet address.
Gifted packs cannot be refunded or reversed once sent.
Ensure the recipient wallet supports the chain (SOL) of the pack you are gifting.
Insufficient funds, invalid wallet addresses, or network issues may cause a gift to fail.

FAQs

Can I gift packs to myself?

Yes. You can send a gift to your own wallet address if desired.

Can I edit or cancel a gift after sending?

No. Once a transaction is confirmed on-chain, the gift cannot be changed or canceled.

What happens if my gift fails?

If a gift fails or partially succeeds, the status will appear in your Gift History. Any unsuccessful gifts will not be delivered and will be refunded.
