Backing up your recovery phrase or private key is crucial for protecting your assets. These security measures ensure that you can access and restore your wallet if needed. This guide will walk you through the steps to back up your recovery phrase and private key in Magic Eden Wallet.

Click on the profile tab at the bottom right corner of the app.

Click the security icon, then click on 'Back Up'.

You will see a warning message emphasizing the importance of keeping your recovery phrase safe and not sharing it with anyone. If you wish to continue, click the 'View Recovery Phrase' button.

You will be asked to enter your password. Ensure no one can see your screen, as anyone with this phrase can steal any asset stored in this wallet.

Click the 'Reveal' button to show the recovery phrase. Write it down with a pen and paper to back it up securely.

Follow the same steps as above to access the security settings and 'Back Up'.

Instead of clicking the 'Reveal' button, click on the key icon in the top right corner.

Choose the network for which you want the private key. Note that private key export for the Ordinals (Taproot) address is not currently available, but all other networks and addresses can be exported.

Anyone with this key can steal any asset stored in this wallet. Use caution if creating a digital copy and ensure it is stored securely. To proceed, click the pink 'View Key' button.
