Deleting your wallet in Magic Eden is a significant action that will remove all your accounts and transaction history. It’s crucial to back up your recovery phrase or private key before proceeding. This guide will walk you through the steps to delete your wallet and the necessary precautions to take.

Steps to delete your wallet

Open the Magic Eden Wallet app

Navigate to the profile tab by clicking the icon at the bottom right of the app.

Access settings

Click on the Settings icon.

Go to advanced settings

Click the Advanced button.

Initiate wallet deletion

Click the Delete Wallet button.

Review the warning messages

You will be presented with two warning messages. The first warning informs you that the wallet and its transaction history will be deleted from your Magic Eden browser extension. The second warning emphasizes that deleting your wallet will not transfer your funds and reminds you to back up your recovery phrase or private key before proceeding.

Confirm deletion

If you are sure you want to delete your wallet, follow the prompts to confirm the deletion. This will finalize the process and remove all your accounts and transaction history from the app.

Important reminder

Before deleting your wallet, ensure you have backed up your recovery phrase or private key. This is essential to restore your accounts and access your funds. Without this backup, you will lose access to your wallet and its contents.

Deleting your wallet is a critical decision that requires careful consideration and preparation. Always back up your recovery phrase or private key to avoid losing access to your assets. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking on the chat widget.
